This is one gig for the true house music fans out there

When it comes to commanding a dance floor, few DJs do it quite like Sonny Fodera.

The Australian-born house music heavyweight has become synonymous with feel-good energy, disco grooves, and euphoric drops.

And now, he’s gearing up to bring that same infectious vibe to Bohemia Beach Club by FIVE this Saturday, 25 October.

So, what’s the first thing that comes to mind when he thinks of the city?

“The energy in Dubai is amazing; the skyline, the lights, that mix of luxury and electric party vibes,” Sonny says.

“Everyone is there to just have a good time and I just love the atmosphere and crowds.”

It’s clear Dubai holds a special place in his setlist; a destination where glamour meets good times, and where the crowd always knows how to move.

Reviving the groove

A pioneer in reintroducing disco’s golden glow to modern dance floors, Sonny has built a sound that bridges eras, classic, yet cutting-edge.

“Yeah, I’ve always loved those classic Disco grooves. There’s just something timeless about them,” he says.

“I always try to blend that feel-good vibe with a modern production, and keep it fresh.”

That fresh take has earned him a global fanbase; a mix of old-school disco lovers and new-gen ravers chasing that unmistakable Fodera groove.

Floor-fillers and fan favourites

Ask Sonny which track never fails to get the crowd moving, and he’s quick with an answer.

Somedays and Asking always go off, but lately I’ve been playing Edge of Desire a lot. That drop just hits every single time, and the dance floor absolutely erupts!”

You can almost feel the rush, hands in the air, lights pulsing, and that perfect moment where the music takes over completely.

Big energy

When it comes to dream collaborations, Sonny doesn’t hesitate.

“Honestly? It would have to be Dua Lipa (laughs). It would be so sick to collaborate with her and having her vocals on a track of mine would be absolutely incredible.”

And for his Dubai fans? Expect nothing less than a high-octane night.

“Big energy, loads of bangers and good vibes. I always tailor my sets to the vibe of the crowd, and Dubai never disappoints, so expect a party.”

Saturday, 25 October, Bohemia Presents at Bohemia Beach Club by FIVE, Dubai. For further information, call 058 102 6643
