It will be the fifth time the match has taken place in the emirate.
Some of the world’s most passionate football fans will be descending on Al Ain this October with the Egyptian Super Cup set to take place at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.
Egyptian league champions, Zamalek, and runners-up Al Ahly, will clash in the showpiece event in the Garden City on 28 October with kick-off scheduled for 9pm.
Dubbed the Classico for its intense rivalry, the two sides are considered the most famous clubs in the Arab World with Al Ahly regularly competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, most recently in Abu Dhabi in February.
The match will be the fifth time the Egyptian Super Cup will be staged in the emirate after it was held in 2015 at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, in 2017 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, 2018 at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium and in 2020 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
The announcement is the latest in great news for football fans following the massive news that Argentina will play their warm-up matches for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar in Abu Dhabi as well as the Argentine SuperCopa finals being hosted in the city for the next four seasons.
