12,000 meals donated to non-profit animal organisations in the UAE

The Petshop and Petsville marked their 12-year anniversary with this generous donation

With summer coming in hot and strong, caring for furbabies around us becomes more crucial than ever!

Taking a big step in the right direction, The Petshop, the leading pet supplies retailer in the UAE, and Petsville, Dubai’s beloved dog boarding and daycare provider, distributed one ton of food – equivalent to 12,000 meals – to three non-profit animal welfare organisations.

Recipients of the generous donation were Animals & Us (Fujairah), Stray Dogs Center (Umm Al Quwain), and RAK Animal Welfare Center (Ras Al Khaimah).

As part of the companies’ birthday celebrations, the move was aimed at raising awareness and inspiring others to contribute to the welfare of animals.

“I’m immensely proud of our ongoing support towards the welfare of animals and the dedicated rescue community’s tireless work. We are and always will be a reliable partner in their journey,” commented Amr Hazem Youssef, CEO of The Petshop and Founder of Petsville.

Support for local shelters has been and will continue to be a core part of the company’s ethos. The Petshop believes through volunteering, donating, or actively supporting them, we can build a stronger animal welfare community.

In addition to this move, The Petshop also hosts weekly #adoptdontshop adoption days, and other events with local partners to further support the cause. They also do monthly donation drop-offs and contributions of physical supplies ranging from sealed food, bedding, towels, crates, harnesses, and other essentials, which you can donate at The Petshop’s DIP mega store or SZR store.

If you’re looking to help, you could always volunteer your time or money and get in touch with these organisations directly on Instagram.
