Oman is now back on the tourist trail for travellers

New ruling come into effect in September.

You can now travel to Oman from the UAE to Oman.

Borders are set to open 1 September for those vaccinated and those under-18 years of age.

Arrivals, including Omani citizens and residents are now permitted to enter Oman as long as those entering present a vaccine certificate containing a QR code showing they have received two doses of a vaccine approved by Oman authorities.

According to industry sources, the vaccine needs to have been administered no less than 14 days before arriving in the country.

As well as showing you have been vaccinated, travellers will also be required to show a pre-travel negative PCR test result, which needs to have been conducted within 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of arrival for international flights of more than eight hours, and 72 hours for any shorter flight.

Will I need to quarantine?

A PCR test on arrival will need to be taken by those who do not have a negative result. Such travellers will need to quarantine until they receive their negative test results.

Those showing appositive result will need to quarantine for 10 days.

Oman is now allowing travellers to enter the country from 18 countries.
