Abu Dhabi hit by tremors from Iran earthquake

The earthquake measured 6.2 on the Richter scale.

Did you feel a little bit shaky today?

Well that is because tremors were felt in Abu Dhabi and Dubai after an enormous earthquake rocked Iran today (14 November).

The 6.2 Magnitude earthquake was recorded in southern Iran at 4.07pm.

Residents in Abu Dhabi reported feeling a rocking motion that led to dizziness and nausea.

A number of countries across the GCC and the Middle East have reported feeling the after effects of the earthquake.

It not the first time the UAE has felt tremors after an earthquake in Iran.

The UAE experienced the ground shake last June and last February after a 5.1 magnitude and 5.8 magnitude quakes hit Iran respectively.

A ‘micro-earthquake’ of 1.9-magnitude struck Dibba last month.
