The move extends to Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
UAE nationals will not need a UK visit visa to enter the United Kingdom, from 2023 according to a directive from the United Kingdom home office.
The visa requirements for the UK will also be removed for Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia who wish to visit the UK, and, according to a post on The British Embassy UAE Instagram account, will now move onto the Electronic Travel Authorisation scheme when it rolls out in 2023.
The move to add the UAE to the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system, means that Emiratis and UAE passport holders will no longer need a visa to enter the country from 2023.
The move comes in sync with the UK government’s plans to make the country’s borders fully digital by the end of 2025.
