Umm Al Emarat Park to light up in pink for breast cancer awareness

In collaboration with NMC Royal Women’s Hospital, Pink Caravan, Peak Fitness and Life Diagnostics.

The lush greenness of Umm Al Emarat Park to light up in pink for breast cancer awareness is about to change hue ­­­­­­for the month of October when the city park’s light switch to pink.

The change in hue aims to create more awareness on breast cancer during Pinktober.

Also heading to the park is Pink Caravan, which rolls in on the 18 October from 4pm to 8pm. Visitors to the park will be able to have free screenings and be part of awareness talks.

Pink Caravan is a UAE Breast Cancer initiative, under Friends of Cancer Patients’ umbrella “Kashf”, for early detection of cancer, aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and conduct screenings. Since its inception in 2011, Pink Caravan has been delivering educational sessions and lectures about the importance of early detection of breast cancer in various locations across the UAE.

On 21 October from 4pm- 8pm, Peak Fitness and Life Diagnostics activation takes place where park visitors will be offered a discounted wellness package from Life Diagnostics and a free training session conducted by Peak Fitness for female park goers.

And on 28 October, from 4pm-8pm, free health educators will be on the ground in addition to discounted mammogram vouchers, gifts and more.
