There will be 11 bridges in the emirate alone
The Etihad Rail is currently fully functional, transporting freight across the open lines in the UAE.
While we wait for the passenger routes to be operational, here’s a glimpse of the new Etihad Rail Dubai route.

The railway line has 11 bridges within the emirate alone, the longest of which is the Al Qudra Bridge spanning 611 metres.
Connecting Dubai Industrial City and the Expo Railway Bridge, the railway line will be vital to the trade and commerce industry. This comprehensive railway infrastructure empowers and streamlines the transportation of goods throughout the country.

You can also spot the Expo Bridge in the video, which is 391 metres long and connected to important landmarks around.
The passenger train service will connect 11 cities across the country, and promises to cut down travel time between emirates by a significant amount.
The line is projected to stretch from Al Sila to Fujairah including Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Abu Dhabi. Trains between Abu Dhabi and Sohar will take about an hour and 40 minutes, and just 47 minutes to travel from Al Ain to Sohar.
Etihad Rail will also reduce travel time from Dubai to the UAE capital, cutting down the estimated two hour journey to just 50 minutes.
Traffic in the future is looking good.
