The service will operate three times a week.
Fancy a cheeky trip abroad?
Well Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is now flying to Manama, Bahrain should the notion take hold.
Commencing on Thursday (9 September), the flight to Bahrain International Airport from the capital will be operating on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Speaking on the new flight, Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Kees Van Schaick, said the airline was very happy to provide a low-fare travel option on a popular Gulf travel route.
He said: “Today is an important milestone for us at Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and we are pleased to mark the occasion alongside our partners – Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC).
“The addition of the Abu Dhabi-Manama route provides a low-fare travel option for those wishing to fly the popular Gulf travel route. This new destination is the first route to be added to our flying roster since this week’s update to the travel guidelines regarding vaccinated passengers – it is an exciting moment for us all.”
The introduction of the route follows the recent move by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee to remove the need to quarantine for all vaccinated travellers entering Abu Dhabi from 5 September.
Launched at the beginning of the years, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi flies to more than 30 destinations including Athens, Budapest, Muscat and Santorini.
