Yas Marina awarded prestigious gong

The award recognises exceptional facilities and service.

Ask any resident in Abu Dhabi what they think of Yas Marina and it is almost certain they will give an overwhelmingly positive response.

And the beautiful amenity on Yas Island has now received the gold seal of approval by the world’s oldest marina association.

The Yacht Harbour Association (THYA) has awarded the marina with the prestigious 5 Gold Anchor Platinum Accreditation for exceptional facilities, amenities and customer service, making it the first marina in the GCC to bestowed with the accolade.

The Gold Anchor Award Scheme is recognized as the leading worldwide marina accreditation for more than 25 years involves a rigorous auditing process.

General Manager of Yas Marina, Billy Canellas, said the award was a testament to the Yas Marina’s team’s hard work.

He said: “We could not be prouder to have been awarded the 5 Gold Anchor Platinum status. The reward is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at Yas Marina to deliver the highest standard of service to its members and visitors, as well as the state-of-the-art facilities we provide.

“We’re honored to be placed amongst the best in the world and will strive to keep raising the bar.”

Yas Marina is home to 93 dry stack berths, an onsite fuel station as well as a dedicated member concierge, member and crew benefits programme.

Visitors can engage in a number of watersports at the location including wakeboarding and jet skiing.
