PARTNER CONTENT: SailGP’s, 2025 season opening event, the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix presented by P&O Marinas, is less than one month away, and here’s your guide to making the most of the experience.
SailGP is the world’s most exciting racing on water and sees 11 national teams and top international athletes compete in identical, high-tech F50 catamarans that are faster than the wind at speeds approaching 100 km/h.
Its events are made up of compete in short, adrenaline-fueled races at iconic worldwide venues, providing close to shore viewing and world class entertainment on and off the water.
This year’s Dubai event is set to be one of SailGP’s biggest to date with its largest ever fleet and two international music superstars – Tinie Tempah and Craig David – performing after each day of racing.
WHEN IS EMIRATES SAIL GP TAKING PLACE?
SailGP’s 2025 season kicks off on 23-24 November against the dazzling backdrop of Dubai’s cityscape skyline. The event will feature world-class racing, live music, premium hospitality from Nikki Beach, and après-sail entertainment.
The league’s 11 supercharged hydro-foiling F50 catamarans, crewed by the best athletes in the sport will battle it out on the waters of Mina Rashid, just meters away from shoreside fans.
This is more than a race; it’s a celebration of speed, style and entertainment – all while launching the league’s biggest and boldest season to date.

Waterfront Grandstand
Be front and centre to watch the league’s supercharged fleet of flying F50s fly by at breathtaking speeds on the iconic Mina Rashid. Bring Your Own Boat
What better spot than from your own boat? Boaters can purchase a flag to secure a premium viewing position inside the exclusion zone, giving you the best vantage point to watch all the action. Vessels must be under 80 feet to be eligible for the BYOB program and cannot be used for commercial purposes.
Team Base Tours
Go behind the scenes at the SailGP Team Bases, and enjoy an exclusive tour of the garages where athletes and shore teams prepare the high-tech F50s for racing. Tours offer a rare chance to see SailGP’s elite athletes, the cutting-edge technology, and the wing-sailed boats up close as the teams prepare for battle in Dubai.
WHO WILL BE PERFORMING AT THIS YEAR’S EVENT?
SailGP will kick off its 2025 season in style with the addition of world-renowned music artists, Tinie Tempah and Craig David, who will both perform across an action-packed weekend at the upcoming Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix.
Tinie Tempah, one of the most successful UK rappers of all time with seven number one singles and Double-Platinum certification by the BPI for his album Disc-Overy, will be first to take to the stage. He will perform his biggest tracks to fans after the opening day of racing on Saturday in the SailGP Race Stadium overlooking the water.
Craig David, who has enjoyed a 25+ year career, having sold more than 15 million albums, will bring his iconic TS5 DJ set to close out the event in style after Sunday’s winner-takes-all Final.
Both artists will perform exclusively in the Waterfront Premium Lounge presented by Nikki Beach, with SailGP teaming up once more with the iconic beach club.
