The competition kicks off in November.
Football fans around the world are counting down the days to the sport’s biggest jamboree and another major landmark has been announced.
The draw for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held on Friday 1 April at 6pm (UAE time) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre in the capital city.
To date 15 teams have confirmed their place in the hat for the draw with some 17 places still to be confirmed.
The teams that have qualified for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 are; Qatar (host nation); Germany; Denmark; Brazil; France; Belgium; Croatia; Spain; Serbia; England; Switzerland; Netherlands; Argentina; Iran; and South Korea.
Qualifying matches will continue until 14 June with two Inter-confederation playoffs being played out in Qatar.
The tournament will be played across eight stadiums kicking off on 21 November 2022 and concluding on 18 December 2022.
Ticket applications for the showpiece event went live on 19 January with more than 17 million requests being submitted.
