Expect high-quality courts, professional coaching and a lot of padel fun.
Listen up Abu Dhabi’s padel tennis fans because we have some smashing news for you.
PASS Abu Dhabi and world-renowned padel tennis specialists, LeDap, have teamed up to help offer you a chance to take part in the UAE’s fastest growing sport in the capital.
Operated by A Team Experience in the capital, LeDap boasts high-quality, panoramic European padel courts where you and your friends can strut your stuff on the court.
Constructed with 12mm tempered glass and artificial turf that allow for intensive use and optimal cushioning mean that you can keep playing for hours (or until match point has been won) without the worry of irritating any joints.
Currently operating courts at Park Inn at Yas Plaza and at Emirates Palace, the partnership between PASS Abu Dhabi and LeDap will provide opportunities for young people to receive guidance from professional coaches from Spain and France including the coach of the French Women National Veteran team as well as a chance to take part in youth competitions.
Speaking on the announcement founder of PASS Abu Dhabi, Seth Amoafo, said;
“At PASS, our focus is on building a healthy community of children with a lifelong love of sport. I was honoured to be approached by LeDap and A Team to support this initiative.
“My first question with such initiatives is to ask about the benefits for the youth and I am really excited not only for courts being built in schools, but also the opportunities for new and experienced young players to receive quality coaching sessions from experienced coaches at A Team. We will do all we can to help create a legacy of padel.
“Imagine an International padel champion from the UAE when this sport grows. To go even further, imagine an Olympic padel champion from the UAE. The possibilities are endless and we are honoured for the opportunity to help make this dream a reality.”
Frants Steynberg, CEO of A Team Experience Abu Dhabi added that the partnership is important in the company’s goal of engaging the whole community via sport.
He said; “Padel is a sport that can be enjoyed by all, and we have noticed that there is still low participation from the youth. It is our mission to change that by actively reaching out and creating opportunities for participation.
“We couldn’t ask for a better partner than PASS to help us achieve this goal. They have been leading the way in sport and community development in Abu Dhabi for over a decade, and we are excited that together we can offer even more ways for the youth of Abu Dhabi to stay active.”
The first initiative of the partnership will be a summer pass programme that will see residents given the chance to purchase an unlimited padel pass from the start of June to end of August for either Emirates Palace or Park Inn hotel courts.
Prices start from AED 295 for children including one coaching session per week, and from 495aed for adults, inclusive of a hotel pool pass.
