Abu Dhabi Harlequins

 

 

Harlequins by name but certainly not Harlequins by nature as this Abu Dhabi rugby club based out of Zayed Sports City takes its rugby very seriously.

One of the biggest rugby clubs in the entire Gulf region, whether you are lacing up your boots for the first time or a grizzly, experienced prop, there is a team for you with three Men’s teams, a women’s team, a veteran’s side (over 35) and an extensive underage section which starts from under four, you will be able to find a 15 in which to fit. But if you are not up for the physical stuff, get involved with the social teams of touch and tag rugby.

And when training is over, head to The Sportman’s Arms for a recovery session.

Abu Dhabi Saracens

 

 

Scoring tries for 11 years this rugby club in Abu Dhabi is spreading the game from its base at Al Ghazal Golf Course. A member of The Saracens Rugby Network which sees clubs throughout the globe including Malaysia, Brazil, USA and of course the professional club side in Barnet, this community club is a great place to learn the basics of rugby while making new friends in Abu Dhabi. Men’s and women’s training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Al Ain Amblers Rugby Club

 

 

The Garden City of Al Ain offers budding rugby players a chance to play the game at world-class facilities at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club. Offering up five floodlit rugby pitches, master the basics of catching, passing, kicking and tackling. Everyone can get involved from six and up and for those looking for to make new friends, the touch rugby team should be hit.

Bringing joie de vivre to the Zayed Cricket Stadium, the only French orientated rugby club in the UAE focusses on mini and youth rugby, offering the sport to under five through to under 16 with additional teams for under 19 girls rugby and adult touch rugby.
