In collaboration with COP28, the PopCOP launch brings community events to the UAE
With the Year of Sustainability on in full swing, here’s your chance to be part of the green movement with PopCOP!
In collaboration with COP28, the PoPCOPs are a collection of community action events across the UAE, inviting all residents to explore, plan for and work towards the healthy, thriving future of our planet.
This includes schools, universities, private companies, community groups, government departments and entities, who can all contribute by organising and hosting PopCOPs.
Inviting the community to share thoughts, hopes and execute ground-level action makes this the most inclusive COP28 event to date. For those interested in hosting their own, all you need to do is head to the Year of Sustainability website and download the Planning Kit.
Designed for groups of 10 to 15 people, PopCOPs are structured to encourage participants to reconnect with the planet through immersive activities and meditative experiences; conduct a personal stocktake of their sustainable behaviours; learn design principles and application methods to achieve climate impact.
Video messages recorded at the events will also be displayed at COP28 onsite and online. Get hosting!
