Are you getting excited for the FIFA Club World Cup 2021 that will be played in Abu Dhabi?
Well to warm you up for the big footballing jamboree you can get your hands on the piece of silverware that the eight teams from around the globe are striving to host on 12 February in the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
The Mobile Roadshow will offer football fans the chance to see and get their picture taken with the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy and there will also be a chance to say hello to the official mascot of the tournament, Dhabi, a life-sized gazelle.
The meet and greets are planned for Expo 2020 Dubai as well as shopping centres throughout the UAE.
Speaking on the announcement, spokesperson for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE Local Organising Committee, Mohammed Abdulla Hazzam Al Dhaeri said: “Our community programmes are a very important part of hosting the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, a global sports capital, for the fifth time.
“We want to offer fans an unforgettable experience, and one that positively impacts the community and inspires sports participation and a healthy lifestyle.”
The eight-match tournament kicks off on the 3 February 2022 as local side Al Jazira host AS Pirae of Tahiti.
Tickets can be purchased for the tournament on Ticketmaster.ae and ticketholders must present a negative PCR test on their Al Hosn app not exceeding 48 hours in order to attend any match.
