The world-famous Michelin Guide is to launch in UAE this year

Dubai will be the 36th destination the guide has judged.

The amateur gastronomes and epicures of the UAE will now be joined by some illustrious company as Michelin Guide Dubai announces its first selection of restaurants in June 2022.

Casting their eyes and tastebuds on the best culinary venues in Dubai, restaurants will be judged on their ingredients, the mastery of cooking, the harmony of flavors, the personality of the chef through the cuisine and the consistency both over time and across the entire menu.

Besides the coveted star ratings, the selection will also include the popular Bib Gourmand category, a distinction awarded to establishments that provide value-for-money three course meals.

Speaking on the announcement, Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, said; “We are delighted to announce that Dubai will be joining the Michelin Guide family

“We will be showcasing the best of Dubai’s gastronomy, to reflect not just the sophistication that the city is famed for, but also the wide diversity of cuisines that the city’s location and history provide.”

The full 2022 selection of the Michelin Guide Dubai restaurants worldwide will be available online at Michelin Guide.

Dubai will be the 36th destination for the legendary food guide.
