Legendary Brazilian footballer Roberto Carlos is coming to Sharjah this month

He will be joined by former Egyptian international footballer, Mido.

Football fans of certain vintage will find this news exciting as one of the world’s most famous fullbacks, Roberto Carlos, will be in Sharjah this month.

The man with a rocket for a left foot, will be attending the 11th edition of the annual Sharjah Ramadan Majlis which be held from 13 to 22 April under the patronage His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council.

The FIFA World Cup winner will be making an appearance at the Majlis on 22 April to take part in the “The Professional Mindset in Football … Details of the Unskilled” sports session.

Carlos who made over 1,100 professional football appearances will be joined by former Egyptian international striker Ahmed Hossam Mido.

Football isn’t the only talking point of the Sharjah Ramadan Majlis with YouTube and the Equation of Entertainment and Influence, hosting Mohammed Al Nahit from Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Raafat from Egypt, and Basil Al Haj from Jordan at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre on 13 April.

And on 20 April at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, a movie session will take place, Transgenerational Art: The Elements of Industry and Survival, where Canadian-Egyptian actor Mina Massoud, the Saudi actor Hassan Asiri, and the Tunisian actor Dhafer Al Abidin discuss the elements that will ensure the continuity of dramatic and cinematic works across generations.
