Get ready for thrills this weekend at the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup

The event takes place on Al Hudyariyat Island.

Al Hudayriyat Island will be full of dramatic finishes, pulse-pounding springs and heart-stopping jumps as the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup rolls into town.

Being held for the first time in the Middle East pro riders from around the world will battle challenging obstacles and each other on Saturday 23 April across a spectacular 700m man-made track consisting of jumps, berms, and sprints.

 

 

Supported by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the action kicks off at 4pm with a kid’s ride followed by the champions practice at 6pm.

An amateur race will take place at 7.50pm and 8.30pm before the main event will see the World Cup contenders showcase their skills underneath the lights at 10pm underneath the lights.

The race format will see the male and female riders split into groups of four with the fastest two advancing to the next stage.

The UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup is free to attend with a green pass on the Al Hosn app needed to gain entry.

It is the latest major cycling event to come to Abu Dhabi after The UAE Tour 2022 took place at the start of the year.
