Manarat Al Saadiyat is showcasing a Korean photography exhibition and you have to see it

The exhibit is free-entry.

Lovers of Korean photography and Korean culture can unite at Manarat Al Saadiyat as the new exhibition Arirang Narsha has been unveiled.

Running until 19 June, the free of charge exhibit looks at the beauty of Korean traditional dance through the unique interpretation of Korean artist Yang Jaemoon.

Some 22 pieces of photography is on display at the arts centre with Jaemoon’s works inspired by Jinju Gyobang Gutgeori (four-beat structure with three subdivisions), Geommu (a sword dance), Cheoyongmu (Dance of Cheoyong) and a Nongak (Samulnori, five-person dance).

The collection of artworks introduces artist’s entire activities from the early stage of works to the latest.

Speaking on his collection, Jaemoon said; “I was fascinated by the emotional lingering of the sweeping skirts of dancers and began to capture the fleeting sequences into photograph linearly.

“Therefore, my work captures the trailing imagery created by the movement of dancers, attempting abstraction of the continuity of evanescent moments.”

And once you finished enjoying the photography of Jaemoon, pop over to the wonderful ‘90s exhibit of Zemanna which closes of 4 June.

However, if you just so happen to be out of Abu Dhabi until 19 June, don’t worry as the exhibition will move to the Korean Cultural Centre at the Yas Creative Hub, where it will be displayed from 22 June to 24 July.
