The Korean Film Festival reveals its line-up for Abu Dhabi

There will be nine films to enjoy.

Get your diaries out cinephiles as the Korean Film Festival has revealed its line-up of movies to be showcased during the week.

A joint-initiative between The Korean Embassy and the Korean Cultural Center, the sixth edition of the movie festival will see a total of nine Korean films screened for a five-day period at Vox Cinemas at Yas Mall.

Lighting up the big screen from 29 June to 3 July, the festival whose theme is based on Family on Screen, will begin with the showcasing of Escape from Mogadishu, a Korean action film, directed by Ryoo Seung-wan and starring Kim Yoon-seok, Heo Joon-ho and Kim So-jin.

Selected for their messages around reminding audiences on the value and meaning of family, movie buffs and can enjoy their popcorn while taking in such films like Miracle: Letters to the President, The House of Us and Sinkhole.

Speaking on the announcement, Nam Chan-woo, Director of Korean Cultural Center said; “I believe the audiences from various background in the UAE will feel sympathised with the Korean Film Festival themed Family on Screen because stories about love, conflict, and healing within a family are a universal story being told around the world.”

Entry to the Korean Film Festival is priced at AED 21 and pre-booking is available online at Korean Film Festival 2022.
