Salon du Chocolat et de la pâtisserie: World’s biggest chocolate fair returns to Dubai

Grab this chance to taste exclusive chocolate creations by leading international brands and engage in meet-and-greet sessions with the best pastry chefs

Get ready to indulge in the ultimate sugar rush as the world’s biggest chocolate fair is heading back to Dubai.

Salon du Chocolat et de la pâtisserie returns for its second edition in the emirate on 18-20 May at Le Gourmet in Galeries Lafayette, Dubai Mall.

Last year more than 3,000 chocoholics surrendered their taste buds to the three-day choco-filled extravaganza, and this year’s edition promises to be an even sweeter experience with a chance to discover and taste mouthwatering chocolate creations by leading international brands and engage in exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with renowned pastry chefs.

While Salon du Chocolat is a dream for chocoholics, Joumana Damous-Salamé, managing director of event organiser Hospitality Services, says the event is also a celebration of all things pastry, sweets, and confectionary.

This year’s edition will host professional chocolate tasters, chocolate masters, chocolate lovers, as well as renowned authors and pastry chefs from all around the world.

And there’s more! The 2023 edition will include unique workshops and masterclasses delivered by famous chefs and dozens of chocolate and pastry exhibitors.

Ever since its launch in 1994 in Paris, Salon du Chocolat et de la pâtisserie has become an international reference for all chocoholics, organising events in famous cities around the globe, including New York, Tokyo and London.

But there’s really no better place to host such an event than Dubai, says Maha El Khoury, projects and sales director at Hospitality Services.

“Dubai is known for being unique and captivating in all its activities, so we will do the same,” says El Khoury.

“In this regard, we have assembled all renowned pastry chefs and chocolate masters in the most modern city in the world, gathering the elites of the hospitality and food service industry.”

Salon du Chocolat has also been hosted in major cities such as Brussels, Cologne, Lyon, Moscow, Shanghai, Marseille, Zurich, Cannes, Bordeaux, Monaco, Milano, Hong Kong, Beirut, and Jeddah.

Describing Le Gourmet as a “chocolate lover’s haven”, Mario Faria, head of food and beverage at Galeries Lafayette, promises a memorable experience for visitors.

“We are so excited to welcome back this one-of-a-kind-event and look forward to another memorable weekend of catching up with old friends over chocolate and conversation,” said Faria.

It’s going to be a choco-tastic event, so be sure not to miss it!
