Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will make multi-emirate trips to the UAE a breeze.
Under the agreement, travellers can book a single ticket to land in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai, then jet off from the other airport.
With the new service, which will be available starting this summer, you can say goodbye to costly separate one-way tickets and annoying transfers – this single-ticket system is all about making your travel life easier.
Flying into one emirate and exiting from another was previously an expensive option as travellers had to book separate one-way tickets from either airline. Passengers also had to deal separately with both airlines for transfers, check-in and, of course, buying the tickets.
With the new service, visitors can plan a full itinerary involving multiple emirates and arrange to fly out at a more convenient airport in one transaction.
The ‘open jaw’ arrangement also means that travellers have access to ‘multi-city flights’ on both airlines, allowing them to book return tickets from any city on both carriers’ networks.
