The Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road (E11) towards Dubai will be closed for emergency road work, Abu Dhabi Mobility announced.
The closure was confirmed via a post on X (formerly Twitter). Authorities have urged motorists to use alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.

Traffic is expected to be impacted due to road works until 31 August, according to the Road Traffic Authority.
“#RTA reminds you of expected delays on Emirates Road, between the intersection of Hatta Road and Al Ain Road (Dubai to Abu Dhabi direction), due to road maintenance works till August 31, 2024. Plan your trips accordingly and follow the signs. Thank you for understanding.”
