The UAE’s ‘Stand with Lebanon’ campaign invites citizens and residents to contribute donations and volunteer support during Lebanon’s ongoing crisis
The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Affairs Council has launched the ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ campaign, calling on citizens and residents to help those affected by Lebanon’s severe economic and humanitarian crisis.
The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with numerous charitable and humanitarian organisations across the UAE, encouraging public donations and volunteer efforts.
Where are the collection and packaging events in the UAE?
Two main collection and packing events will take place, allowing people to donate in person:
- Saturday, 12 October 12, from 9am to 1pm at Dubai Exhibition Center at Expo City Dubai.
- Sunday, 13 October, from 9am to 1pm at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal at Abu Dhabi Ports (Terminal 1).
Citizens and residents are encouraged to join the campaign as volunteers, helping organise relief efforts at the events. Volunteer coordination is led by the Emirates Foundation’s Volunteers Platform and includes other platforms across different emirates, welcoming a large and diverse group of helpers from various nationalities and communities.
Here’s how you can donate
– Cash donations: Contributions can be made through the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) via their official bank accounts, website, and mobile apps.
– In-kind donations: Items such as food, medical supplies, and clothing can be dropped off at ERC warehouses located in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, and the Dubai Humanitarian City, or at ERC offices across the UAE.

This initiative comes shortly after the UAE government pledged a substantial $100 million (AED 367 million) relief package for Lebanon.
Over the past weekend, six planes carrying around 250 tonnes of essential supplies, including medical equipment, food, and shelter materials, were dispatched, with an additional six flights on Monday.
Additionally, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan directed a separate $30 million (AED 110 million) urgent aid package to assist displaced Lebanese in Syria.
The UAE’s efforts demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting Lebanon during these difficult times, encouraging its citizens to come together in solidarity and generosity.
