These long-serving healthcare workers are getting the VIP treatment

In a heartwarming tribute that couldn’t have come at a better time; right on International Nurses Day; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has just given some major love to the city’s healthcare heroes.

Nursing staff with Dubai Health who’ve been on the job for over 15 years are getting awarded Golden Visas.

Yes, that’s right; these long-time caregivers are being handed a golden ticket, quite literally, as a thank-you for their years of dedication and selfless service.

This move is a serious show of appreciation. Sheikh Hamdan gave a heartfelt shoutout to nurses, calling them the backbone of the healthcare system and key players in building a healthier and happier society.

This golden gesture isn’t just a pat on the back; it’s a game-changer that gives these healthcare workers long-term residency and the freedom to truly plant roots in the community they’ve helped care for.

The announcement also doubles as a meaningful way to mark International Nurses Day, which is celebrated every year on May 12. Talk about perfect timing!

With this move, Dubai sends a strong message: when you give your all for the community, the community gives back.

So, here’s to the nurses; Dubai’s golden-hearted guardians!
