Celebrate Smart: Free parking & late-night metros for Eid in Dubai!

Planning your Eid Al Adha adventures around Dubai? Good news — the city just dropped some seriously helpful updates to make your long weekend smoother, cheaper, and more convenient.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that parking will be free across most public areas in Dubai from Thursday 5 June through Sunday 9 June.

That’s four whole days of stress-free city roaming (yes, Sundays are already free). Just note: this excludes multi-level parking terminals — so keep an eye on the signage.

Dubai Metro is stretching its hours for the festive rush. Both the Red and Green Lines will run from 5am to 1am daily between 4 and 7 June 4 and June. The Dubai Tram will also be on the same extended schedule — starting at 6:00 AM and wrapping at 1am.

Need to head to Abu Dhabi? Heads-up — bus route E100 from Al Ghubaiba Station will pause from 4 to 8 June, but the RTA recommends hopping on E101 from Ibn Battuta Station instead.

Meanwhile, a streamlined E102 route will run straight from Al Jafiliya to Zayed International Airport, skipping stops at Ibn Battuta and Musaffah.

Service hours & smart centres

Most Customer Happiness Centres and inspection stations will take a break from June 5 to 7, but the smart centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, and the RTA head office will remain open if you need anything digital done.

Need a vehicle inspection? Services will restart at Tasjeel Al Tawar, Al Yalayis, and Shamil Muhaisnah from June 8, and regular government transactions resume 9 June.
