VOX Cinemas has the answer, and it’s packed with bananas, bright yellow outfits and everyone’s favourite mischievous little Minions.
On Sunday, 5 July, Mall of the Emirates will transform into one giant indoor playground as the Minions & Monsters VOX Cinemas Fun Run takes over for a morning of family-friendly fun.
Running from 7am until 10am, the event is completely free to enter, making it a great excuse to round up the family, lace up your trainers and start the day with something a little different.
Forget personal bests and serious competition, this event is all about having a laugh.
Whether you’re jogging with the kids, walking the route with friends or simply turning up in your best Minion-inspired outfit, everyone is welcome.
You can expect plenty of music, entertainment and race-day activities to keep the excitement going long after you cross the finish line.
And yes, dressing in yellow is highly encouraged.
While registration for the fun run is completely free through Eventbrite, there’s an extra bonus for anyone who’s already planning a trip to the cinema.
Participants who show a valid ticket for Minions & Monsters purchased at any VOX Cinemas location in the UAE will receive a special event T-shirt, a certificate of participation and access to exclusive race-day entertainment.
You’ll also be in with a chance of taking home medals, trophies and other prizes awarded during the event.
The fun begins at 7am, when participants can check in and collect their event T-shirts outside Paul Café at Mall of the Emirates.
After a short welcome and safety briefing, the run gets underway at 8.20am, before wrapping up with prize presentations and celebrations from 9.30am.
Because the event takes place indoors, it’s also a perfect way to enjoy an active morning without worrying about the soaring summer temperatures.
