Planning a European getaway? Getting around just got easier thanks to Emirates.

The airline has launched Skywards Rail, a new platform that allows members to redeem their Skywards Miles for train journeys across Europe, opening up access to more than 12,000 destinations served by over 40 rail operators in 12 countries.

Available through the dedicated Skywards Rail booking platform, members can search timetables, compare routes and book tickets using either their Skywards Miles or a combination of Cash + Miles. Rail tickets can also be purchased for family and friends, with e-tickets delivered directly by email.

Booking your train travel with Emirates

The new platform includes some of Europe’s best-known rail operators, including Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Trenitalia, TGV, Renfe and ÖBB, alongside major UK services such as Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express, Thameslink, Great Western Railway and ScotRail.

Whether you’re connecting from an Emirates flight or planning a multi-city European adventure, Skywards Rail offers a simple way to continue your journey without booking separate transport.

Popular routes available with Skywards Miles

Members can redeem Miles on a range of popular European routes, including:

  • Heathrow Express from 4,700 Skywards Miles
  • Berlin to Frankfurt from 4,100 Skywards Miles
  • Barcelona to Madrid from 5,400 Skywards Miles
  • Rome to Milan from 8,100 Skywards Miles
  • London to Paris from 9,400 Skywards Miles

The launch marks another expansion of Emirates Skywards beyond traditional flight rewards, giving members more ways to make use of their Miles throughout their travels.

Emirates says the new service is designed to offer greater flexibility, whether travellers are connecting from an Emirates or flydubai flight, exploring multiple cities during a holiday or simply looking for another way to maximise the value of their loyalty rewards.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Emirates Skywards now has more than 39 million members across 190 countries, with around 78,000 new members joining every week, making it one of the world’s largest airline loyalty programmes.
