A brand-new shopping mall is opening in Dubai next month

If you’re getting a bit bored of your local mall, you’ll soon have a brand-new one to explore.

It’s been announced that the first phase of The Grand, located in Nad Al Sheba Gardens, will open on August 19, 2026.

Already fully leased ahead of its launch, The Grand will bring together premium retail, dining, wellness, healthcare and everyday services.

Leading the first phase are some very exciting (and recognisable) name. We’re talking the first Waitrose & Partners in Nad Al Sheba, alongside MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.

Foodies won’t have to wait long either. From early September, The Grand will welcome a host of popular dining and café concepts, including Tashas, Somewhere, Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day and Daima. Wellness and lifestyle offerings will also expand with Staywell Pharmacy, Tips & Toes, while Fitcode and American Hospital are scheduled to open in early 2027.

Designed as a walkable community destination, The Grand combines convenience with lifestyle, offering residents a place to shop, dine, exercise and socialise in one location.

Commenting on the launch, Abdulla Binhabtoor, Chief Executive Officer of Shamal Holding, said The Grand reflects the company’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba Gardens.

“The Grand represents the next phase of Shamal’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba and for the communities we create. Thoughtful creation has shaped every aspect of the destination, not simply to offer convenience, but to elevate the everyday. More than a community mall, The Grand is a lifestyle destination designed to feel welcoming, connected and effortlessly part of daily life”, he said.

The Grand forms part of a wider vision for Nad Al Sheba Gardens, with a focus on creating community spaces that enhance everyday living through carefully curated retail, hospitality and lifestyle experiences.

More details on additional openings, events and community programming are expected to be announced in the coming months.
