The greatest entertainers in the sporting world are bringing their show to Abu Dhabi this October.

Yes, the Harlem Globetrotters are coming to town on its Spread Game Tour to dazzle audiences with their box of tricks and outlandish plays at the Etihad Arena on 31 October.

The exhibition of basketball that is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the U.S. Mission to the UAE, is a part of Yas Island’s ‘Yas for 50’ celebrations to mark the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.

With tickets starting from AED 50, visitors can expect ankle-breaking moves, serious swagger and slam dunks and as well as the team’s signature song, ‘Sweet Georgia Brown’ whistled by Brothers Brown. And there will be a special performance by team mascot, Globie, who will usher in the sides.

Counselor for Public Affairs at U.S. Embassy to the UAE, Roni Solomon said: “We are thrilled to welcome the American icons—the internationally acclaimed basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters—to the UAE.  The U.S. Mission is very proud to partner with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Department of Culture and Tourism in bringing the best in American culture and entertainment to UAE audiences.”

The Harlem Globetrotters has played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 124 countries and territories since 1929.
