Dates of Sheikh Zayed Festival have been revealed

Programme will include National Day and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

It’s time to get your diaries out culture vultures as the dates for the 2021-2022 Sheikh Zayed Festival have been announced.

Under the directions of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, one of the UAE’s largest festivals will kick off on Thursday 18 November 2021 and run until 1 April 2022.

 

 

Considered one of the planet’s five most important cultural festivals, the Al Wathba jamboree’s programme will include a full agenda of events and major entertainment shows aimed at preserving heritage, raising public awareness and showcasing entertainment of the UAE’s culture and traditions.

The programme of events includes National Day celebrations, the International Civilisations March, the New Year’s Eve celebrations and the Al Wathba Costume Show.

More than one million visitors attended last year’s festival from November 2020 to February 2021 which featured a fireworks’ display and an Emirates Fountain & Laser show.
