Foo Fighters are coming to Abu Dhabi

The concert takes place in December.

Abu Dhabi will be rocking this December to the sound of global music icons, Foo Fighters, after it was announced that the Grammy award winners would be bringing the curtain down on the 2021 Yasalam After-Race concerts.

Scheduled to play at Etihad Park on 12 December after the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 has crowned its champion, fans can expect to be jamming to the likes of ‘Times Like These’, ‘Best Of You’ and ‘Learn To Fly’.

The legendary band are the final act to be named for the after-race concerts after Khaled, Stormzy and Lewis Capaldi were previously announced to entertain fans on Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively.

CEO of FLASH Entertainment, organisers of the event, John Lickrish said the 2021 line-up will be one of the biggest to date.

He said: “This year’s After-Race concerts will be remembered in the region for some time, with the reveal of our full line-up including international music icons Foo Fighters alongside upcoming global superstars, Khalid, Lewis Capaldi and Stormzy.

“At Flash Entertainment, we’re thrilled to bring world-class entertainment and our Yasalam After-Race concerts back in style with this year’s line-up of global superstars.

“This year’s concerts further highlight the international celebration of culture that we experience regularly here in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates, and we look forward to welcoming the world to Yas Island in December.”

The grand prix will see capacity crowds at Yas Marina Circuit after the Abu Dhabi government relaxed restrictions on attendances on sporting events in December.

All visitors will have access to the Thursday concert headlined by Khalid with single-day ticket ticketholders being able to attend the concert on the day stated on their stub.

Two-day ticketholders will have access to the Saturday and Sunday concerts as well as Thursday and those with three-day tickets will be able to access all nights of After-Race entertainment.

However, one-day ticketholders are now able to attend a different concert to their current day if they upgrade to a two-day or three-day ticket.

Tickets can be purchased via Yas Marina Circuit
