Full capacity at events as UAE announces a gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions

The Al Hosn green pass will still be required.

Activities and events in the UAE could be at full capacity by February it has been announced.

The news comes as The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management (NCEMA) revealed the decision to gradually lift COVID-19 restrictions covering all activities and events in the UAE.

The measures will cover restrictions in various sectors including tourism, entertainment facilities and all modes of transport.

Capacities for social events such as weddings and funerals will also be raised but this will be determined by local committees in each emirate while social distancing will be reduced to one metre in places of worship.

However, the Al Hosn app green pass must still be used as part of the relaxed COVID-19 restrictions.

Residents in the UAE are also eligible to receive a second booster of Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm it has been revealed.
