Abu Dhabi drops the price of PCR tests in all medical facilities

The drop in price for PCR tests is effective today.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has announced that the price of PCR test will decrease across the emirate.

Effective today (1 March), those wishing to undergo a PCR test in any medical facility in the emirate will only have to pay AED 40, a decrease of AED 10.

Abu Dhabi residents must undergo a PCR test every 14 days in order to maintain a green pass on their Al Hosn app that will allow them entry into commercial premises across the emirate.

The news follows the announcement of relaxed precautionary COVID-19 measures that will see those who come into contact with a confirmed case having to undergo daily PCR tests for five consecutive days.

Schoolchildren under the age of 16 will also only need a PCR test every 28 days in order to enter school premises.
