Dubai opens 3 beaches for night swimming

New night beaches located in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 1

All you beachlovers of Dubai, get ready to make a splash all day and night!

The city is taking beach tourism to a whole new level with the simultaneous opening of not one, not two, but three brand-new beaches that offer night-swimming facilities.

Located in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 1, each beach spans 800 metres and is equipped with lighting systems, electronic screens and other safety features that allow beachgoers to swim securely during the night.

Safety is certainly a priority as qualified lifeguards are on hand with state-of-the-art rescue and emergency equipment. Night swimming at the beaches will be from sunset to sunrise.

With the new night-swimming beaches, the Dubai Municipality has advised beachgoers to go night swimming only in designated zones.

Dubai Municipality has more programmes under way to develop and transform the emirate’s picturesque beaches into major outdoor attractions, said Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality.

“The new night-swimming beaches are part of Dubai Municipality’s efforts to contribute to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the emirate the world’s best place to live and visit,” said Al Hajri.

“The initiative also forms part of the Municipality’s beach development plan aimed at providing distinctive experiences. The new facilities will further raise Dubai’s status as a beach tourism destination.”

If you’ve long craved the enchanting allure of swimming under the stars, Dubai’s newly opened night-swimming beaches are a dream come true. So grab your swimwear and let the beach adventures begin!
