I am Sonal B. Chhibber, an award-wining author, editor, journalist, and motivational speaker based in Dubai with roots in India. My journey is defined by resilience, creativity, and empowerment.
How and when did you move here, and what inspired the move?
I moved to Dubai from Delhi as an expat mother of three kids. The vibrant culture, opportunities, and dynamic lifestyle inspired our move, seeking new experiences and growth.
What is your favourite thing about the emirate and why?
Living in Dubai has fostered a strong sense of belonging and community for me. The diverse and inclusive environment encourages connections and support networks, making it feel like home.

A myth about Dubai that I would like to bust is that it lacks cultural depth. In reality, Dubai is a melting pot of cultures, offering a rich tapestry of traditions, arts and cuisines from around the world.

I experienced the genuine warmth and hospitality of the Dubai community during a challenging time when neighbours and friends came together to offer support and assistance without hesitation, showcasing the true spirit of unity and compassion.
