First campus set to open in the coming years, with additional Nord Anglia schools planned across Dubai Holding communities
Dubai’s private school sector is set for further expansion, with Dubai Holding and Nord Anglia Education confirming plans to open a series of new premium K–12 schools across key residential communities in the emirate.
Under the partnership, Dubai Holding Asset Management will develop purpose-built campuses, with Nord Anglia Education operating the schools.
The first campus will be located in Dubai Production City, with additional schools planned across other Dubai Holding flagship communities in the coming years.
For families living in fast-growing neighbourhoods such as Jumeirah Golf Estates, Emirates Living, and Tilal Al Ghaf, the announcement signals a significant development: increased school capacity closer to home.
The Dubai Production City school is expected to open in the coming few years, subject to approval from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
Omar Karim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Investments, said: “Investing in education is a natural next step as Dubai continues to advance its knowledge economy and attract global talent.”
What we know about the Dubai Production City school
The new campus will offer a British curriculum and accommodate approximately 2,000 students. Situated adjacent to Jumeirah Golf Estates, the school will serve families across nearby residential areas.
The campus will be a brand-new, purpose-built facility. Alongside traditional academic pathways within the British system, the school plans to incorporate vocational options and place a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and leadership development.
Nord Anglia says its research into metacognition — how students understand and improve their own learning developed in partnership with Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Project Zero and Boston College — will be embedded into the curriculum.
Students will also connect to Nord Anglia’s global network of 89 schools across 37 countries, educating more than 100,000 students worldwide, through its Global Campus online platform. Collaborations with institutions including MIT (STEAM), The Juilliard School (performing arts), IMG Academy (sport) and UNICEF (service learning) are also expected to form part of the wider offer.
Elizabeth Lamb, Regional Managing Director for the Middle East at Nord Anglia Education, said:
“Our new campuses will give increasing numbers of families access to Nord Anglia’s research-backed approach to personalised learning, where every student is supported to reach ambitious goals and develop as a confident, curious global citizen.”
Nord Anglia already operates two schools in Dubai, Nord Anglia International School Dubai and Swiss International Scientific School Dubai.
As demand for places at established Dubai private schools continues to rise, the expansion aligns with wider strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and Dubai Education Strategy 2033 (E33), which aim to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global knowledge hub as its population grows.
Further details on timelines, approvals and admissions are expected once KHDA clearance is confirmed.
