Spring has officially sprung in the Capital, and with it comes an exciting selection of events and activities for the whole family to enjoy. The weather is perfect and the kids have broken up from school, so what are you waiting for- get outside and make the most of the new season! Here’s our round up what to do in Abu Dhabi this Spring break…
Mother of the Nation Festival
The Mother of the Nation Festival takes place from March 22 until March 31 over a kilometre of Abu Dhabi’s Corniche beach, utilising Miral’s new 600-metre beachfront leisure development A’l Bahar, which will be opened to the public for the first time for this year’s Mother of The Nation Festival.
The festival is open from 4pm until midnight Sundays to Thursdays and from 2pm until midnight on Fridays & Saturdays and with thrilling activities and interactive entertainment, promises an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
Tickets available from Ticketmaster and cost AED25 per adult and AED15 per child aged from 2-12.
Baking at Abu Dhabi Mall
In collaboration with Tavola, leading cookery and bakeware retailer, Abu Dhabi Mall are inviting families to celebrate Spring break this year with a range of fun baking sessions, all hosted by celebrity Chefs from around the world.
Starting from March 23 until April 3, and with multiple sessions per day, this is a great way to keep the kids entertained this school holiday. Little aspiring Chefs will have fun making cakes and pastries, whilst the big Chefs can pick up some ideas and inspiration from the experts.
There’s even adult-only sessions dedicated to enabling keen bakers to develop their skills in the kitchen.
Once Upon a Springtime at Yas Marina
Prepare to embark on a magical journey at Yas Marina on Friday March 30 and Saturday March 31, as families are invited to discover a whimsical world of stories at their Springtime Festival, breathing life into age-old fairytales. Discover Unicorn Land, where the little ones can enjoy candy and rainbow-themed bouncy castles in between unicorn pony rides. Test out your skills on the giant outdoor games in the Secret Garden, explore Alice’s ‘curiouser and curiouser’ Wonderland, or spend time indulging in arts and crafts at the Enchanted Forest.
From 1pm until 6pm. Tickets are available for purchase upon arrival only, and cost AED30 per child for unlimited access to all on-land activities. Wizard boat rides are available from AED25 per person.
Foot Golf at Yas Links Golf Club
The 9-hole, par 3 Academy Course at Yas Links Golf Club has been transformed for Foot-golf for the Spring break holidays. Foot-Golf combines two of the world’s most popular sports; football and golf. The objective of the game is to strategically combine power and precision to get the football in the hole in the fewest number of shots possible. But the best part? Foot-Golf is a game that can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone, regardless of age, ability, or level of fitness, making it a fantastic sport for families.

Spring Holiday Camps
Holiday camps are a great way to entertain children over the school holidays; they’ll learn new skills, make new friends, and have lots of fun, plus you can be sure they’ll be safe and happy whilst you’re busy at work.
Whether your looking for something sporty, crafty, or educational, there are lots of fantastic holiday camps in Abu Dhabi to keep your children entertained no matter what they’re interested in, from superheroes to rock stars! Some camps are available for the entire two week period, and others are bookable by the hour, giving parents lots of flexibility too.

Egg-celent Easter at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers
Jumeirah at Etihad Towers promises Easter entertainment for the whole family, with fun line up of events and activities from March 30. The Easter bunny will make an appearance at the family BBQ and Easter egg hunt on Saturday March 31 from 5pm-8pm. Packages start from AED210 per adult. For chocolate lovers, why not indulge in a chocolatey afternoon tea, available every day from March 30 until April 6 from 2pm-6pm.
For even more egg-celent Easter fun, the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa are hosting an Easter Weekend and Bunny Chase on Friday March 31. Entry is free, and you can expect a whole host of kids activities, petting zoo, bunny chase, food trucks and live music.
Easter Brunch at Emirates Palace
Easter is a time to relax with family and friends, and what better way to do that than Emirates Palace? On Friday March 30, Las Brisas will be hosting a special Easter Brunch, with dedicated kids area and activities and games, including face painting, carnival games, balloon bending, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. From 12.30pm- 4pm and starting from AED370 per adult and AED180 per child. Children under 10 dine for free.
But the fun doesn’t end there as Emirates Palace throws the biggest Easter picnic in town on Saturday March 31.The menu includes chargrilled meats and vegetables and a dessert hut, which serves up steaming waffles and crepes while an ice cream wagon visits all the picnickers to keep them cool and smiling. Last but not least, there is an Easter egg hunt and a lineup of special kids’ entertainment, games and sports to keep your kids happy while you lounge on the lush green lawns. From 2pm-5pm, tickets AED465 per adults including picnic, BBQ, and half bottle of bubbles per picnic. Children 6-12 years AED230, and children under 6 dine for free.
