Time to think beyond the usual sandy spots

Dubai has never been short on beautiful beaches, but what’s coming next is on another level.

Across the city, a wave of new beachfront destinations is reshaping how we soak up the sun, blending relaxation, adventure, and design-led experiences into one irresistible coastline.

Whether you’re craving calm, community vibes, or something a little more adventurous, these upcoming beach projects promise something for every kind of beachgoer.

Al Mamzar Corniche

If your ideal beach day is equal parts relaxation and comfort, Al Mamzar Corniche is one to watch. Nearly complete, this reimagined coastal stretch is designed for slow, scenic days by the water.

Expect a thoughtfully curated mix of experiences, from a fully enclosed women-only beach (perfect for both daytime lounging and evening swims) to leafy walking trails, cycling tracks, and shaded wellness zones.

Add in beachfront cafés and family-friendly spaces, and it becomes the kind of place you’ll want to linger from sunrise to sunset.

Umm Suqeim Beach

Already one of Dubai’s most recognisable coastal spots, Umm Suqeim Beach is getting a major glow-up.

Stretching from the iconic Burj Al Arab towards Kite Beach, this transformation is all about elevating the experience.

The expanded shoreline will offer more space to unwind, plus standout features like a striking observation tower inspired by the UAE’s maritime heritage.

Expect playful public art, new family zones, and a more immersive beachfront atmosphere that blends culture with coastal living.

Jebel Ali Beach

For those who like their beach days with a side of discovery, Jebel Ali Beach is set to become Dubai’s most diverse seaside destination.

Spanning an impressive 6.6km, it will be the city’s longest public beach, and one of its most unique.

The experience is split into three distinct zones. There’s a lively, family-friendly waterfront packed with activities, dining spots, and even a floating restaurant.

Then comes a quieter sanctuary space, where local wildlife, including nesting turtles, takes centre stage.

Finally, mangrove-filled landscapes offer a more tranquil, nature-led escape that feels worlds away from the city.

Hatta Beach

Not all beach days need to happen by the sea. Up in the mountains, Hatta Beach is bringing a completely different kind of coastal energy.

Centred around a striking crystal lagoon, this inland destination blends water-based fun with outdoor adventure.

Picture kayaking across clear blue water, then heading off for hiking trails, mountain biking routes, or even zip-lining across rugged terrain.

It’s less about lounging, more about doing, and it might just be Dubai’s most exciting all-day escape.
