Authorities have made this decision as more heavy rain is anticipated in Dubai in the coming days

There may be more bad news on the way for residents in Dubai as further inclement and treacherous weather conditions are expected during the coming days which has prompted authorities to issue distance learning for schools on Thursday and Friday.

Parts of the city are still reeling from some of the worst rainfall and thunder storms that has ever been faced in the UAE, where record rainfalls were reported two weeks ago.

The volatile weather led to some very distressing scenes in Dubai where the city was flooded, roads became impassable, and work places and schools were closed with immediate effect.

Arising from the expected onslaught of more treacherous conditions, Dubai authorities have made the decision to implement online learning for all schools in the city as a precautionary measure.

Authorities were highly praised two weeks ago for their rapid emergency response to the unprecedented scenes that were witnessed, but hopes are high that the situation won’t prove as grave this time around.

In any case, authorities have urged residents to be vigilant over the coming days as more unpredictable weather conditions sweep in from the north of the country.

Stay safe everyone!
