A few Emirates flights have been cancelled owing to weather forecasts. Check it out
Following record rainfalls two weeks ago, another bout of stormy weather has all of the UAE up and alert.
With governments issuing advisories across the UAE, distance learning and remote working have been put into place to ensure safety and minimal disruption.
Now, Emirates has announced the cancellation of several flights out of Dubai Airport due to heavy rain and warned travellers of delays.
Due to bad weather in Dubai on 2 May, customers arriving or departing from @DXB might experience delays as some flights are rescheduled.

In an update on their official website, the airline listed out the flights that have been cancelled.
EK 123/124 between Dubai and Istanbul
EK 763/764 between Dubai and Johannesburg
EK 719/720 between Dubai and Nairobi
EK 921/922 between Dubai and Cairo
EK 903/904 between Dubai and Amman
EK 352/353 between Dubai and Singapore (EK353 departing 3 May, 0050hrs)

They also informed passengers “arriving or departing from Dubai airport on May 2” of “some delays as flights are rescheduled”.
Passengers are advised to check for updates on smart apps before heading to the airport and plan their routes as per updated maps. Dubai Metro timings have been extended to ease commute, so those travelling might prefer the same.
The airline apologised for any inconvenience caused and added that rebooking charges will be waived.
Travellers are also advised to expect road delays and to add extra travel time. Stay safe!
