Emirates announces return to popular destination after two years

Planning your next trip? You can now fly with Emirates to this popular destination again!

Summer’s coming up and with it a whole host of destinations to fly to. One of them can soon be Nigeria, with Emirates confirming the resumption of flights to Lagos, Nigeria.

As 1 October, 2024, the flights will be operated using the Boeing 777 on a daily basis to Lagos.

Passengers will be able to travel via Dubai’s flagship carrier at 9.45am, and the return flight from Lagos is at 5.30pm. The best part? You can already go ahead and book your tickets for the landmark flight on Tuesday, 1 Octobe with return tickets priced from AED 2,940.

With Lagos now added, this brings the total number of Emirates destinations to 19 in Africa, with over 150 flights per week from Dubai and an additional 130 regional points in Africa through codeshare.

Offering 8 first class suites, the flight will also have 42 business class seats, and 304 in economy.

Passengers will be able to enjoy a regionally-inspired menu while watching one of the 23 Nigerian movies added to the usual in-flight entertainment options.

Speaking about the announcement, Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer says, “We are excited to resume our services to Nigeria. The Lagos-Dubai service has traditionally been popular with customers in Nigeria and we hope to reconnect leisure and business travellers to Dubai and onwards to our network of over 140 destinations.

“We thank the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in re-establishing this route and we look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.”
