This is a new chapter in flydubai’s growth from Dubai

flydubai is expanding its Thailand offering again, with the launch of daily flights to Bangkok starting 1 July 2026.

This new service builds on the airline’s existing presence in Thailand, which already includes Krabi, and now gives travellers from Dubai another direct gateway into one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic capitals.

Flights will operate daily from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport, with the route also forming part of a codeshare agreement with Emirates.

From a Dubai perspective, this is another example of how the city continues to strengthen its role as a global aviation hub.

With its location bridging East and West, Dubai has long positioned itself as a natural connector for long-haul travel, and adding more frequency and choice into high-demand destinations like Bangkok reinforces that advantage.

It also reflects the steady growth in outbound travel demand from the UAE, particularly for short-haul leisure breaks and multi-destination trips across Asia.

Bangkok itself remains a major draw. It’s a city that offers a bit of everything boasting rich cultural heritage, world-famous street food, vibrant nightlife, and modern shopping districts, all packed into one fast-moving urban experience.

Whether travellers are stopping over en route to other parts of Thailand or heading there directly for a holiday, it’s the kind of destination that works just as well for a quick escape as it does for a longer stay.

As quoted on flydubai’s official website, Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “We are pleased to expand our network in Thailand with the launch of flights to Bangkok, offering customers access to another gateway into the Thai capital. This addition reflects our continued commitment to offering our passengers more travel options.”

He added: “As travel demand continues to recover, we remain confident in the resilience of the tourism sector. The new service allows us to deploy capacity where it is needed, while strengthening travel and trade flows between the UAE and key markets.”

The new route adds a destination that deepens Dubai’s connectivity to one of Asia’s most important travel corridors, making it even easier for travellers to move between the UAE and Thailand’s capital.
