This is a World Book Day-inspired morning designed for families

Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark is opening its doors for something a little different this April, a free community morning designed to help Dubai families slow down and simply enjoy time together.

Taking place on Thursday, 23 April at 9am, the World Book Day-themed gathering will be hosted at Bounty Beets and is being positioned as a gentle pause from the pace of everyday life.

In a time when many families are feeling the emotional strain of busy schedules and wider uncertainty, the idea is to create a calm, welcoming space where both children and adults can breathe a little easier.

The morning has been designed with families firmly at its heart, and that means everyone is invited including babies, toddlers, school-age children, parents, caregivers, and even grandparents.

The aim is to create a truly multi-generational experience that feels warm, inclusive, and rooted in connection.

At the centre of the event is a collaboration with Principal Lisa, founder of Happy Families and a well-known community voice in Dubai.

Through her work and social platform @principal_lisa, she has built a reputation for supporting parents and strengthening family wellbeing.

Speaking about the initiative, she highlighted the importance of creating spaces where families can feel “held,” especially during more challenging times.

Her focus for the morning is simple: give children space to play freely, while offering parents a sense of calm and community around them.

Families can expect a relaxed programme inspired by World Book Day, including storytelling sessions, imaginative play, sensory and nature-based activities, and gentle opportunities for movement and exploration.

Rather than a packed schedule, the emphasis is on flow; letting children engage at their own pace while adults take a moment to unwind.

To keep the experience comfortable and personal, attendance is limited to just 100 families. This ensures the environment remains safe, spacious, and nurturing for everyone involved.

Adding to the community feel, a small selection of mum-led businesses and family-focused brands will also be present, contributing in a soft, thoughtful way to the overall experience without overwhelming the morning.

Best of all, the event is completely free to attend, with Le Méridien Mina Seyahi generously hosting the gathering as part of its commitment to community wellbeing. An à la carte breakfast and drinks will be available for those who wish to purchase.
